Privacy Policy

SiteVerified Ghana (“SiteVerified”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides independent construction progress verification in Ghana and operates the SiteVerified website and client portal at siteverifiedllc.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, where it is stored, and how it may be shared. It applies to website visitors, clients, staff, and people who communicate with us about a project or service.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use SiteVerified, we may collect:

• Account information: name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, date of birth where required, password credentials, and account preferences.
• Project and service information: site address and location, construction details, service selections, visit schedules, instructions, messages, and support requests.
• Project materials: site visit notes, checklist responses, reports, photographs, videos, and documents uploaded by authorized users.
• Payment records: payment provider reference, amount, currency, payment status, and order details. Paystack handles payment card and bank credentials; SiteVerified does not receive or store full card credentials.
• Technical and security information: IP address, browser and device details, login and session events, timestamps, and audit records used to secure accounts and diagnose service issues.

Please provide only information that is relevant to your project and that you are allowed to share with us.

How we use information

We use this information to create and administer accounts; arrange and document site visits; prepare and deliver verification reports; provide the client portal and project records; process orders and confirm payments; respond to support requests; send service-related email or SMS notifications; protect accounts and the service from fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access; meet legal obligations; and maintain and improve the website.

Google Drive and Google user data

SiteVerified uses one Google Drive account connected by an authorized SiteVerified administrator for the service's project-file storage. The SiteVerified application requests the Google Drive drive.file scope. This permission is used to create, retrieve, and manage files associated with SiteVerified project records; it is not used to browse unrelated files in the connected account.

The Google data handled by the application can include OAuth authorization and refresh tokens; Drive file IDs, names, MIME types, sizes, timestamps, and other file metadata; and the contents of project attachments uploaded through SiteVerified. The app uses this information to upload project attachments, confirm that uploads completed, associate files with the correct project, and make attachments available through SiteVerified to users authorized for that project.

Google Drive is the intended long-term storage for project attachments. If Drive is temporarily unavailable, an upload may be held on the SiteVerified server while it waits to sync. The app removes its temporary local copy after it confirms that the Drive copy exists. OAuth credentials and tokens held by SiteVerified are encrypted in the application database. Google user data is used only to provide, secure, and maintain SiteVerified's file-storage feature. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

Google processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. An authorized administrator can disconnect Drive or revoke the app's access in their Google Account. Disconnecting stops future app access but does not itself delete files already stored in Drive; contact us if you need help locating or removing project files.

Payments and service providers

Online payments are processed by Paystack under its terms and privacy policy. We receive transaction and order details needed to confirm and administer a payment, but not full payment-card or bank credentials. We use hosting and database providers to operate the website, Google Drive for project attachments, and email or SMS providers to deliver requested service communications. These providers process information on our behalf or as described in their own policies, and receive only the information needed for their role.

When information is shared

We make project information and reports available to the client associated with the project and to SiteVerified staff who need it to perform or administer the service. We share information with service providers as described above, when you ask us to, when needed to protect users or the service, or when required by law. We do not sell personal information.

Retention, security, and international processing

We keep account, project, attachment, and payment records for as long as needed to provide the service, administer a project, maintain business and payment records, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and protect the service. Retention periods can vary by record type and project. When information is no longer needed, we take steps to delete it or remove identifying details, subject to backups and lawful retention requirements.

We use access controls and security measures appropriate to the information we handle, including encryption of Google OAuth credentials and tokens stored by the application. Information may be processed in Ghana and in other countries where our hosting or service providers operate. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you or request access, correction, or deletion, subject to information we must retain and other applicable requirements. You can manage email and SMS preferences in your account where those settings are available. You may also revoke Google Drive authorization from your Google Account's third-party connections.
